Cancer treatment has advanced significantly in recent years. Drug therapy now has the potential to extend life beyond previous expectations. Unfortunately, these drugs are very expensive and can often create financial hardship for the patient.
The Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation exists to help pay for the cost of these treatments. Whether through assistance with insurance costs or direct offset of medication costs, the Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation stands beside those in need. If you or a family member have such a need and reside in Frederick County, Washington County and Allegany County Maryland, please contact us for help.

Mission Statement:
The BJCF mission is to assist in providing financial support to cover medical cost (co-pays, medications and treatments), gas cards to assist transportation cost to treatments, utilities, food allowances, and cosmetic accessories (wigs, mastectomy bras or prosthesis) for any Cancer patient in active treatment residing in Frederick, Washington and Allegheny Counties.
Patients must provide documentation of need (including income and billing statements) to substantiate financial hardship due to their cancer diagnosis. Patient who meet these requirements will be eligible to receive assistance regardless of race, sex, religion or any other potentially discriminating factor.
The Board will meet to determine the amount of assistance to be paid for each eligible candidate based on the information provided.
